Wardrobe Pieces I Bought in Paris + Simple Outfit Idea

comfy clothes flatlay, Sézane Léontine Sweater, Sézane Artemis Belt, Polène Numéro Un Nano (Number One Nano)

Oh what a joy it was to visit Paris, even if it was just for a few days! From a wardrobe perspective, stepping foot into Polène Paris was a dream come true. It was one of the two stores I had to visit – the other being Sézane. So this post is dedicated to three wardrobe pieces I bought in Paris from these two stores. Yes, they’re just that good!

All three were long-standing wishlist items and I was so happy to finally cross them off my list. At very reasonable prices, too. If I had gotten these pieces shipped to Canada, I would likely have had to pay taxes and/or fees. So a major win in my books!

Both brands pride themselves as Parisian brands that place quality at the forefront of their products. Read more about Sézane here, and Polène here.

I didn’t buy too much since my trip was only a week long and all I had was a carry-on luggage + personal item. Luckily, Sézane provided me with a beautiful reusable bag. So on our way back home, I checked in my carry-on luggage and brought two personal bags onto the plane.

The Item Details

Sézane Léontine Sweater, 100% organic cotton sweater, cozy sweater on hanger photo, comfortable knitwear

Sézane Léontine Sweater (size XS, 95€)

A beautiful 100% organic cotton knitwear piece in classic Ecru/Navy. It has such beautiful detailing, like the navy horizontal stripes and the set of tortoise buttons that make it halfway down. The loveliest Sézane sales associate found this in a size XS for me. Otherwise I would have settled for the Navy/Ecru colourway in a size S since it was out on the floor. Though still beautiful, it would not have been the colourway I initially wanted, nor the expected fit. It was definitiely meant to be!

Sézane Artemis Belt, statement belt on hanger
Sézane Artemis Belt, statement belt

Sézane Artemis Belt (size 80, 70€)

Truly a statement piece! I fell in love with this belt when I previously saw it online, wrapped on top of a blazer, around the model’s waist. I have yet to try this out, but I think it’s a great variation of styling a blazer. It’s such a lovely piece, with a gorgeous buckle and a velvet-like texture. It also comes in a smooth black leather that I didn’t see in store.

Polène Numéro Un Nano (Number One Nano), mini practical handbag, minimalist handbag, quality handbag

Polène Numéro Un Nano (Number One Nano), mini practical handbag, minimalist handbag, quality handbag

Polène Numéro Un Nano
(Number One Nano, 260€)

Probably my favourite purchase of the bunch, as this piece sat on my wishlist the longest. When I first stepped foot into the store, I had the intention of purchasing the Numéro Neuf Mini in Taupe. But as soon as I saw this sitting on the shelf, I knew I had to have it. It’s minimalistic, yet sophisticated in its own unique way. The flap easily secures whatever is stored inside. Another great thing to note is the straps adjust enough so that at its shortest length, the bag is hanging just below my waist as a crossbody, as seen here. Something my fellow petites would appreciate!

If video content is more of your jam, see how I styled this outfit in this reel.

A simple, relaxed, yet put-together outfit featuring all 3 pieces. It incorporates casual (from the sweater) and dressy (everything else) elements, creating some juxtaposition and overall, a smarter look. In my opinion, the Léontine Sweater pairs so well with a pair of wide leg pants. Though quite honestly, I think it looks good styled with anything in my wardrobe. Since it has subtle puffed sleeves, a relaxed fit, and a slightly cropped hem, it adds an effortless vibe to any look.

The added accessories, like both the sleek Artemis Belt and Polène bag, along with a pair of beige ankle boots, rounds out the outfit.

What do you think of the pieces I picked out in Paris? I would love to hear your thoughts!
