Hi friends – wow, it’s absolutely insane that we’re at the end of March! These last few months have been a whirlwind leading up to my wedding that happened a few weeks ago. As much as I’d love to relive that day again and again, I’m ecstatic that wedding planning is over. Now my focus is on all things content creation! I’ve felt an urge of creativity, which naturally brought me over here to the blog. I’m excited to showcase my current favourite petite-friendly bags from my growing collection. Bags perfect for anyone, especially my fellow shorties! Consisting of three crossbody bags (one that converts into a backpack!), a perfectly sized tote bag, and an added bonus piece that I almost forgot about.
Unlike larger bags, these are all in the small to medium-sized category and won’t overwhelm a petite frame (for reference, I’m 5’3″). They truly are the perfect size for carrying all your necessities while staying stylish and proportionate. For crossbody bags, look for ones with an adjustable strap so that the bag sits between your waist and hips. Any longer, and the bag could potentially make you look shorter.

Another one of my favourites and actually really fun to wear! Made of full-grain pebble calfskin leather, I love that the Unlocked Small Backpack (PR product) can easily be worn a few different ways. This two-toned version lends a unique touch to any outfit, especially when styled with a simple black and white look for an added pop of colour. A great everyday piece, perfect for any occasion. As some of the reviews mention, one thing missing from mine is a top handle. Though good news – I think their newer versions include this!

3 – Polène Number One Nano (Numero Un Nano)
This piece will always be near and dear to my heart as it was a purchase from my last trip to Paris. It was a short trip, just a couple days long, yet an unexpectedly magical one with Henry where we also purchased our wedding bands. The Numero Un Nano is truly the perfect handbag, made of textured calf leather. I appreciate Polène for producing high-quality handbags with captivating looks, styles you won’t find anywhere else. A beautiful Parisian leather goods brand with bags that are a longstanding wishlist item of mine. I especially love that this particular style has a flap and button-close, preventing the loss of my belongings.

A petite girl’s dream tote bag! The Rhian Mini Tote (PR product) is truly the perfect size. As much as I love a large tote that I can throw anything into, I love that this “mini” size doesn’t swallow me up yet still holds a lot. Samara produces cruelty-free bags with minimal + sleek designs. I am in awe of the vegan leather and how supple it is. Keep in mind there is no zipper or button closure, so a bit of caution while using it is needed.

5 – Poppy Barley The Slouchy Crossbody Bag
I just can’t believe my most used bag out of the bunch was left out of my reel! This has been a current go-to of mine – the slouchy crossbody bag (PR product). Sustainably and ethically made using pebbled leather with the addition of an adjustable nylon strap. I literally use it almost everyday! To run errands, to the gym, to visit a friend… it is a fully versatile bag and actually holds a lot. I love that it has a striking effortlessness to it, perfect to wear with all my preferred casual outfits. I also love that the strap can be adjusted to any length. My favourite way to wear it is short and extra close to my body.
