Winter Accessories Under $50 (Great Last Minute Gift Idea!)

Now that the crisp winter cold is starting to settle in, it’s probably become a habit to reach for your winter accessories to keep yourself warm & cozy. While these extra layers could create some added inconveniences (like when you lose your left mitt again), there are ways to lighten this up through the addition of some color, faux fur, and all around comfort. And for under $50? Yes please.

Looking for some stylish (and affordable) winter accessories? See below for my picks under $50 (Canadian) – these would also make for great last minute gift ideas for your best gal pal!

WINTER ACCESSORIES UNDER $50

1. The Pom Beanie

I’m absolutely in love with my pom beanie from Aritzia ($45). I immediately reach for it all the time, even when it’s only slightly chilly out. The wool and mohair blend ensures my head and ears stay super warm, and the faux fur pom pom on top is such a cute little addition. Topshop has come out with a ton of different pom beanies, all in a bunch of different styles & colors. Check out other options below, at more affordable prices.

2. The Blanket Scarf

I’ve always loved blanket scarves. I have this diamond mosaic one from Aritzia ($65-gifted) and this oversized buffalo plaid one from Gap ($45). I’m absolutely obsessed with the coziness and warmth that each of these bring. I’m also eyeing this one from Dynamite ($35) – it’s plaid, reversible, and pretty much engulfs your entire body that it just screams winter warmth. I almost always have a blanket scarf draped over me at work, I feel empty and well, cold, without one on! Trust me, you and your friends would love one of these.

3. Convertible (Flip) Mittens

I can’t live through the winter months without a pair of convertible mittens. They flip open to become finger (or fingertip)-less gloves. I’m definitely a mitten type of girl, and what makes flip mittens great are the added convenience of being able to do certain things that you normally can’t with mittens on (like use your iPhone!) while keeping your hands warm. And surprise! They now come in a bunch of super cute looks. I’m loving these leather ones from Simon’s (on sale for $40).

4. Faux Fur Bag

Faux fur is seriously all the craze right now, and I showcased my first faux fur bag in a previous post ($50). They’ll have you looking super stylish while you keep all your belongings safe and warm inside. There are so many affordable options out there right now, and as it’s only a current trend, it only makes sense to not spend a fortune on one. Can you really resist all this furry goodness, in the form of a handbag?

5. Faux Fur Scarf

To keep up with the faux fur trend, opt for added warmth & style for your neck & chest with a faux fur scarf. These can be worn over your favorite coat to provide a bit more oomph to the look. Here are some of my favorite versions: a skinny scarf (on sale for $45!), an infinity scarf ($26), and a stole/collar scarf (only $16.50).

What’s your favorite winter accessory? Would you rock any of the ideas above?

Thanks so much for sharing! Love pom pom hats, and the first one from Forever 21 is so simple and adorable. I have a few stocking stuffers left to pick up and you really can’t ever go wrong with cold weather accessories (especially since I live in New Jersey, ha!).
